Yeah, yeah….she knows. She’s not what you pictured when you heard her on the radio but our News Director, Jessica Meistrell is okay with that.  She’s not okay with sauerkraut. She thinks it could quite possibly be the devil’s doing.  But, we digress. A longtime Fremont resident, she is an only child, so she’s spoiled rotten but her Mom says she’s not a brat. Jess is a Fremont High graduate and….uh, she wants us to say, “Class of ’94 ROCKS!”.  She went to a small liberal arts college in Minnesota with a name that most confuse with a sneeze. (Bless you, Gustavus Adolphus College for giving her a Communications degree.) She lived in Minneapolis for a while doing publicity and promotions for movies and then came back to Nebraska to be closer to family and her boyfriend. During an extended stay in what was to be a “temporary” job, Jess decided she was not digging cocktail waitress life and she thankfully blessed us with her presence in 2003.  She does, however, dig news. She does dig news tips. And she really digs celebrity life but, she says, quit asking for her autograph. (She’s delusional at times, poor thing.) And don’t you worry folks- she’s compensated for her work- in fact, we are looking into giving her a big fat raise just because she keeps Chris Walz and Rich Ray in line. (We figure she could use the extra cash for the psychiatry bills she’s racked up since working here.)
