Virginia Dunn is the Business Manager for the radio stations but also serves as “The Mama” to most here.  She doesn’t put up with anyone’s whining and tells it like it is.  She’s the grease in the wheel, the “go to” person, the butter to our bread…well, you get the picture.  Born and raised in Fremont, Virginia followed her husband, Gary, to Hartington, NE and lived there 32 years. She’s one of the few who knew Chris Walz when he had hair.  Virginia and Gary then moved to Springview and lived there for four years before her husband’s untimely passing.  Although we think of her as our maternal mecca, she actually is Mom to a daughter and a son as well as Grandma to four grandsons and one granddaughter. (As is expected, she’s quick to tell you they are the most handsome, most beautiful and most wonderful grandkids in the world.)  Virginia is the grandest of multi-taskers, having held a variety of jobs over the years, including secretary, insurance agent and computer teacher for Northeast Community College. (Which is very convenient since we, ahem, have computer issues quite often.) She started at KHUB/KFMT in April of 2004 and thankfully for us, has decided to stick around.  She says she’s having fun in Fremont seeing old friends and making new ones. In fact, she gushes that we’re absolute peaches to work with and considers us her friends….but we paid her to say that.
